Cosmetic Dentistry That Fits Your Smile

Give your teeth a fresh new look! The following is an overview of different cosmetic dentistry procedures that will help you address any problems hampering your smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry Services

Teeth Whitening

First is tooth whitening which is also known as bleaching. If you have stained or discoloured teeth, bleaching will help brighten them. This option may be done both at the dental office and your home.

Bonding

Bonding, on the other hand, may be used for those who have problems with broken, cracked, or chipped teeth. Here, the dentist will apply materials that are tooth-colored on the surface of the problematic tooth.

Enamel Shaping

Third is enamel shaping. It modifies teeth by contouring enamel, the hard mineralized surface of our teeth. This option is usually done with bonding.

Veneers

Next are veneers. These are customized shells made especially to coat the front of your teeth. This option is often employed for treating spaces between teeth and slightly crooked teeth. Like the former options, it is also used to help worn teeth and permanently stained teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

With porcelain veneers you can not only whiten your smile, but you can close gaps or make teeth appear straighter. An excellent result depends upon teamwork between the dentist and dental technician.

On-Site Dental Technician

At Dr. Sajner & Associates’ facility in Mississauga, the dental lab is right on the premises. We actually have the dental technician look at the patients’ teeth firsthand. We all discuss what we want to achieve with new veneers, and the technician often does a “mock-up” in wax first so that the patient can see the “before” and “after” appearance of the teeth before the treatment starts.

Braces

Braces are often mistaken as treatment only applicable to children. This is far from the truth! As long as your teeth grow crooked or are too crowded, you may need braces.

Dr. Sajner & Associates looks forward to helping residents of the Mississauga and North Toronto areas improve and maintain dental health. Call us to schedule an appointment.
